Phishing for the big catch
Millions of dollars are being lost by unsuspecting people on the internet. Phishing involves sending out an electronic lure, often in the form of a deceptive email or link to a website, that entices people to reveal personal data such as bank account numbers or passwords. If you receive such a request, don't bite!
Native survivors
Northern Territory researchers have found two rare species of Boronia plants that survived Cyclone Monica, after it was feared they had been destroyed. The researchers have collected seeds from the plants, which they will now try to grow to rebuild the nearly extinct species.
What's in a name?
The king of Thailand's full ceremonial name is Phrabat Somdej Phra Paramindra Maha Bhumibol Adulyadej Mahitaladhibet Ramadhibodi Chakrinarubodindara Sayamindaradhiraj Boromanatbophit. The locals call their much loved monarch “King Rama the 9th.” Thailand celebrated the 60th anniversary of his reign earlier this year.
What am I?
I have the skills of a superhero as I fly, hang upside down, spit poison, use X-ray vision and walk on water. To hunt, I use chemical warfare, strength and stealth.
