Confidence Only in Christ
Philippians chapter 3 presents a powerful contrast between human self-confidence and complete dependence on Christ. Paul lists his impressive religious background and accomplishments, only to declare them worthless when compared with the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus as Lord. True righteousness, he explains, does not come from keeping the law, but from God through faith in Christ.
Believers are called to “press on,” forgetting what is behind and reaching forward in an ongoing walk with Jesus. Confidence only in Christ becomes the foundation for assurance, joy, and hope of the resurrection.
