Join Arnie and the King’s Kids team to look at a Bible Story from Acts chapter 1. It is about when a new disciple was going to be chosen.
This story comes from Acts chapter 2 — it is the story of what happened in the Upper Room after Jesus went back to Heaven. Jesus told His followers to wait there for the special gift that He was sending. The disciples were eagerly praying and waiting for the gift Jesus had promised to send to them.
When Peter preached, all those who were listening were able to hear and understand what he said in their own language. This was through the power of the Holy Spirit, the special gift Jesus sent.
In this story, Jesus’ followers learnt how to work together, and when someone had a need, they even sold their possessions to help others. God gave them special gifts so they could serve others. God has given us special gifts too.
God has designed us to all work together using our special gifts to serve others.
God never gives up on anyone. This is the story of when Jesus spoke to Saul as Saul was travelling to Damascus to hurt Jesus’ followers. This changed Saul’s life forever.
This story comes from Acts 9. Saul has been blinded on the road to Damascus. He finds the truth and finds Jesus.

Abraham loved God and wanted his son Isaac to marry a woman who loved God too. In this story, you will find how Isaac finds a wife and how she chooses to leave all her family and friends and move far away with Isaac and his family. She chooses to do so because she loved God and knew that this was what God wanted her to do.
Today’s Bible story is about one of the most expensive meals ever! What price will Esau pay for a pot of lentil stew?
After Rebecca hears that Isaac is going to give the birthright blessing to Esau instead of Jacob, she devises a plan which involves deceiving Isaac. Jacob finds out the problem with not being honest.
Even though Jacob had done the wrong thing and deceived his father, God was ready to forgive Jacob. God never gives up on us even when we have done the wrong thing. The story comes from Genesis 28.
