On the Way to Calvary

The cross of Jesus represents His motive or purpose, the force behind His unselfish actions, His demonstration of the Father’s love. As Simon carried the cross of Jesus, so we may adopt our Saviour’s purpose, living a life of selfless love, doing for others what Jesus has done for us. It was a privilege for Simon to carry the cross of Jesus. It is a privilege for us to help carry another’s burdens.
